Ó Eating House
When the La Mesita Restaurant closed earlier this year, Pojoaque
Valley locals were anxiousthat they were left without a place to have Sunday
brunch or a quick bite. But the Pueblo of Pojoaque quickly remodeled the
restaurant and renamed it for the most essential of prehistoric cooking
implements—the grinding stone or Ó.
Although the menu has changed slightly, the quality remains intact and has
expanded to include a complete espresso bar. The outdoor patio adds a new
dimension to its seating capacity as well as creating a truly relaxed atmosphere.
This correlation between ambience and quality of food is no hoax! The food
is excellent and reasonably priced and the staff is quite friendly and eager
to please!
For cold winter days, the tortilla soup is guaranteed to warm you up and
the price is right at $3.75. There are nine different entrees to choose
from ranging in price from the soup to fried buttermilk chicken at $8.50.
The chef will cook any dish to your liking and there is always the chance
that you’ll meet someone you know!
The Ó Restaurant is conveniently located if your traveling to Los
Alamos or Taos and with quick service and quality food—you’ll
be returning sooner than you expected! Hours are Monday to Saturday, 7:00
a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Their telephone number for take out orders is 455-5065.
